The woodland lake view site is covered in large rock and coniferous trees with a mixture of mature deciduous. The concept of the house was to minimize site disruption for the new structure and to integrate the landscape and architecture. |

An existing clearing that sat below the water table was the perfect position for the new lake house. We created a raised concrete structure that allowed for integration of rock from the site. The open floor plan takes advantage of creating a family-focused vacation home with unbelievable panoramic views to the lake. The natural materials included wood siding, stone and metal roof. Water harvesting was designed with the roof lines and rain chains at strategic locations. The high performance envelope was the catalyst of a sustainable home that could withstand the severe winter storms. |
